The universities and colleges that offer this course are the University of Miami Medical Center, Medvance Institute, Dade Medical College, Keiser University and the Miami Dade College and also at the Miami’s Professional Training Center.
There are various types of programs generally leading to a degree or certification in Radiologic technology. But till date, there is no single set requirement for a job in this field. You can pursue the degree or course in any of the institutes in Miami that offer them, though the bachelor’s degree is offered only by the University of Miami.
The admissions into the most of radiologic technology programs are similar. Basic high school diploma is mandatory or a GED is also acceptable provided the candidate is at least 18 years of age. Some colleges like the Dade Medical College needs the students to complete a personal interview as one of the essentials of the admission process. Each school has its own set of requirements that it expects from its students, so make sure you do some homework to decide which suits you. The curriculum offered by most colleges are mostly similar and will need around 70-80 credit hours for completion of the course successfully.
